RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police have arrested a man accused of recruiting prostitutes from out-of-state and advertising on the Internet that they are available for trysts in Reno, investigators said Friday.

Arthur Chappell, a convicted sex offender, describes himself as a legitimate businessman, Sgt. Dave Evans said.

Chappell, 34, was arrested Wednesday night at his room at the Atlantis Casino Resort where undercover detectives also seized his computer, ledgers, documents related to suspected prostitution enterprise and $1,000, authorities said.

He was booked into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of felony pandering and being a sex offender who did not register his address.
